Juliana Xilombe Hagmann is an 18-year-old born from a South African Tsonga mother and a German father and was raised in South Africa.

As she often says, “I can’t be racist, as I will be hating a part of myself.” Juliana is an influencer in her own right as she passionately speaks out about things around her and constructively educates peers as well as adults alike on the issues relating to identity, race and hair from a first-hand mixed-race child’s perspective.

She shares her personal experiences on how she pushes back on any discriminatory elements, breaks stereotypes and elevates the positive experiences from both cultures in a quest to create her own rich culture.

Alongside her writing, Juliana has a love for music. She started composing songs at the age of 7 and plays piano and bass guitar. She is also a social entrepreneur who makes awareness and motivational videos and is crazy about art and dance. Juliana is a natural hair influencer as she embraces her big puffy afro hair to its fullest.
