Haroldene Tsienda is originally from Gelvandale, Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape and lives in Cape Town for almost three decades. She is a multi-award-winning author, poet and publisher. She is the founding director of Shofar Books. She is also the host of the Cape Flats Literary Awards and the Eastern Cape Literary Awards. She was recently nominated to receive an award for the Top 100 Influential Women in Cape Town. Haroldene is a proud mother of 4 beautiful children and a midwife of thousands of books.
